“Anna Atencio and Joaquin Aristimuno are the business owners of Idea Lab Kids – Calgary.
Anna is a curious and innovative Professional Engineer with an entrepreneurial spirit. Joaquin is a Professional Geophysicist and love to learn about new technologies. Anna and Joaquin hold master’s degrees in petroleum Exploration and Earth Sciences respectively. They are professionals registered at the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
They share a passion: encouraging kids to grow to their full potential in an en-richment environment. Parents of two, they delight in inspiring her children by exposing them to hands-on science activities that stimulate their critical thinking and problem solving abilities.
Anna and Joaquin strongly believe kids needs to be prepared to succeed in the 21st century, where scientific and technological innovations have become in-creasingly important. Kids need to develop their capabilities in STEM to levels much beyond what was considered acceptable in the past and they are highly motivated and prepared to help kids to gain these skills.
In their free time, they love to spend quality time with their kids in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.”
